Travelday - New Plans

We interrupt this program to bring you some very exciting news ... our next holiday is planned! It's only little and I'm actually hoping to get away for a short break earlier in the year too but for the moment I am very excited about the fact that over the weekend we booked our airfares and accommodation to ...

QUEENSTOWN!!    (I'm trying not to think about how much more snow will be there in Winter ....)

The Sparky, his brother and sister-in-law will spend a day or two skiing and I, well I'm looking forward to doing not much at all. We'll be away for less than a week so, as I said, it's only little but right at the moment it's little things like this that are keeping me sane!

P.S. Yes, this is simply my effort to buy myself an extra week to work out what to say in my next Switaly11 post.

  1. Awesome! That will be such a gorgeous holiday. My only time in NZ has been spent in Auckland, so looking forward to hearing about your Queenstown adventures!

    1. Thanks Erin. The last time we went was a rushed day and a half where we saw the major touristy stuff but that was all. I'm really looking forward to experiencing it at a slower pace this time.

    1. Double, triple, quadruple squeee, all things considered :)

It is however a good thing that I didn't realise it would actually be snowing in Queenstown (not just on the mountains) until after we'd booked. There may have been second thoughts otherwise ...

    1. Teehee, I don't let things like time and money get in the way of my "planning". In fact I have about four plans going at the moment, at least three of which will probably never happen! There's something about the planning and research though that I really enjoy - but then again maybe I'm just mad! ;)

    1. The whole country is beautiful. I have a feeling that view will be very different this time around, particularly given that we'll be there towards the end of Winter rather than the middle of Spring (which is when that photo was taken).

    1. Shhhhh, no one was supposed to notice! :)

Truth be told, I've been struggling a little with both time and composition but I decided this morning that I'm over thinking it all and that simple is probably better. Hopefully I'll have something new up at lunch time ...
