it wasn't all eating

There was some time spent around the (relatively)
quieter back of the Opera House.

An art installation near the Botanical Gardens,
made from parts of old buildings that have been
pulled down in Sydney over the years.

Old stairwells squeezed in beside new buildings.

A quick, early morning trip to the museum to see the

A stroll through some lovely gardens
on the way to and from the museum.

A quirky, but expensive, art gallery.

Lots of very good coffee (a nice surprise given the
quality of some of what we drank in Sydney).

A ferry ride to Manly and a walk around the beach.

More awkward selfies on the way back.

Sydney, thank you, we will be back.

  1. What a relaxing break from the paperwork and the maps and the stress and the spreadsheets and the general frantic nature of my job when I'm in the office! Thank you:)

    1. Glad to help, I love it when a post leaves me feeling like I've had a little break so I'm happy to be able to pass that on to someone else for a change.

  2. Hehe taking selfies in public is always so awkward isn't it? But I'm sure with the view in the background everyone understood why! :D

    1. Yes, we definitely weren't the only ones taking selfies, it's more the look on our faces that disturbs me ... somehow I never seem to end up looking relaxed.

    1. I can't believe it's taken me 30+ years (yep, showing my age!) to get there for a visit, we will definitely be back. Thank you, we were feeling pretty relaxed and happy, it was a great few days.

    1. The sunshine and blue sky definitely helped :) Now that I've finally got around to doing it I would highly recommend it (and am planning to go again, hopefully sooner rather than later).
