I loved those curvy pillars, so unexpected, huh?I remember getting yelled at for laying on the floor while trying to look up at the ceiling fresco thingy, since it hurt my neck looking up for so long. Yeah, they were very out of place with the look of the rest of the place.I could have sat for hours in the Sistine Chapel if it wasn't for the crowds so I understand the desire to lie down.No, no Vatican souvenirs for us ... although I would have picked up a Pope faced yoyo for my dad if I saw one.
Definitely a place I would love to go before I die :) Oh yeah!
The architecture and art are just stunning, particularly when you get an idea of the scale of it all - definitely worth it!
