Spring in Winter and now Winter in Spring

After loving us with beautiful, springy, sunny days through winter the weather has now decided to give us rainy and cold with a chance of hail and thunderstorms in spring! That, my friends, is Melbourne at its finest!

Building the deck was obviously hard work!

Sorting through our old holiday photos has been quite a trip down memory lane for me. I can't decide whether to keep posting the New Zealand photos in order or not so instead I give you Broome. A different year, a different country and very different weather! (thanks to Kate at Foxs Lane for reminding me how much I enjoyed this holiday)

I'm leaving on a jet plane ...

... don't know when I'll be back again.

Actually, I do know when I'll be back again but not knowing sounds so much more fun.

Three weeks from now The Sparky and I will be in the sky somewhere between Melbourne and Doha on our way to Zurich. Three weeks after that we'll be home again, but I don't want to think about that right now, it feels a little too much like wishing my life away.

As I now have travel on the brain (and in recognition of the fact that this blog was originally only set up so that I could share photos from the upcoming holiday with family and friends) I will be sifting through old holiday photos, practicing editing them on the iPad and sharing them here.

Our first stop on the upcoming holinday is Zurich, Switzerland so it seems appropriate to start this trip down memory lane with photos from another cold, green country - New Zealand.
